Tenors Successfully Interoperate with BroadWorks™, Providing an Access Solution for the Customer Premise
Eatontown, NJ, October 25, 2005
Quintum Technologies, a leading innovator in VoIP technologies, announced today at the BroadSoft Connections Executive Users Conference, that their Tenor line of MultiPath Switches and Gateways have successfully completed interoperability testing with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks VoIP application platform.
The BroadWorks VoIP application platform enables a host of applications, including Hosted IP PBX, mobile PBX, residential broadband, and business trunking to fixed and mobile service providers. The Quintum Tenor provides intelligent VoIP connectivity for analog and digital voice systems as well as the PSTN. The Tenor is used by enterprises and service providers as a VoIP access device or VoIP CPE. The Tenor supports the integration of circuit switched based systems or PBXs into VoIP networks, and provides local connectivity to the PSTN for local/911 calling and survivability in the case of IP network failure. The Quintum Tenor provides BroadSoft users with an easy to deploy VoIP access device.
“The BroadSoft BroadWorks VoIP application platform has a strong following in the industry, and we are very excited to support BroadSoft applications with our Tenor VoIP switches and gateways,” said Chuck Rutledge, the Vice President of Marketing for Quintum. “BroadWorks users will now be able to take advantage of Quintum’s unique VoIP products as VoIP access CPE for their business customers.”
Quintum Technologies is an excellent addition to our family of interoperable partners,” stated Scott Wharton, Vice President of marketing for BroadSoft. The Tenor line of VoIP switches and gateways provides our customers a broad array of easy to deploy VoIP access solutions.”
With BroadSoft and Tenor interoperability completed, Quintum is now positioned to address the needs of next-gen service providers wanting to offer advanced VoIP applications on their existing Tenor infrastructure," said Norm Bogen, Analyst for InStat. "This interoperability puts Quintum firmly on the radar screens of Tier 1 carriers."
Quintum’s Tenor VoIP MultiPath VoIP switches and gateways are designed for traditional, IP-PBX and hybrid enterprise environments, as well as for service providers deploying VoIP-based services directly to enterprises requiring customer premise equipment at the network edge. Tenors’ MultiPath architecture and integrated call routing allow it to be deployed with minimum changes to existing voice networks, thus making it very easy to deploy VoIP. Tenor’s unique SelectNet capability also provides monitoring and call routing based on the VoIP Quality of Service, thus providing assurance of high quality voice calls.
