PortaSwitch - Communication Service Platform
A software-based communication services and subscriber management platform allowing modern communication network providers to unify voice, data and fax traffic within a single network. A ready replacement for Class 5 switches, PortaSwitch consists of a soft-switch and application servers. Product includes:

1. Billing Software
   PortaBilling100 is a carrier-grade VoIP billing and customer management platform that enables IP telephony providers to launch, price and provision their services immediately.

   PortaBilling100 supports Caller-ID (ANI) based billing, with both prepaid and postpaid billing models, as well as prepaid calling cards and account/PIN systems with Interactive Voice Response (IVR). PortaBilling100 can also be used by wholesale providers who terminate VOIP calls for other providers.

   PortaBilling100 can be installed and configured in less than an hour. It offers a fully-featured, web-based interface, allowing it to be hosted in outsourced data centers. PortaBilling100 uses a real-time authorization, authentication and billing engine to provide AAA services via the RADIUS protocol for any VoIP gateway using a stop-accounting billing method. Our software is built on open standards and runs on a UNIX server, and is ideal for reliability-conscious ITSPs.

2. SIP Call Control
   PortaSIP is a call control software package that enables service providers to build scalable, reliable VoIP networks. Based on the Session Initiation Protocol, PortaSIP provides a full array of call routing capabilities to maximize performance in both small and large packet voice networks.

   PortaSIP allows IP telephony service providers to deliver communication services at incredibly low initial and operating costs. In addition to conventional IP telephony services, PortaSIP provides a solution to the NAT traversal problem, and also enhances ITSP network management capabilities. The PortaSIP solution provides carriers with an open, SIP-based architecture to support enhanced voice applications such as hosted IP PBX service, unified messaging, conferencing and IP call center, as well as a whole new class of services integrating telephony with the web, e-mail and other communications portals.

   With PortaSIP, services that combine elements from telephony and other web applications such as e-mail, messaging, Internet and video streaming can be created easily and in a shorter planning/implementation cycle, allowing increased market responsiveness.

3. Optional Unified Messaging
   PortaUM handles voice, fax, and regular e-mail messages as objects in a single mailbox that a user can access via a web interface or by telephone. PortaUM was developed specifically to meet all the communications needs of small to medium-sized businesses or branch offices.

   PortaUM allows ITSPs to offer subscribers the ability to process e-mails and manage voicemails from within a web browser, or by using a favorite e-mail client. PortaUM provides a single, non-intrusive interface for all telephony and messaging functions, and increases staff proficiency and productivity by being easy to use and manage.
