Unified's SS7 Signaling Gateway is a flexible, high performance, and cost-effective solution for ITSPs, carriers and mobile operators to build a next generation VoIP network. It works with your existing Quintum Tenor CMS and DX VoIP MultiPath Switches without any change of the hardware. The SS7 Signaling Gateway supports most the ITU, ANSI, and ETSI SS7 variants, including China TUP.
Supports Tenor MultiPath Switches
When connected to an SS7 network, the signaling is automatically distributed among Tenor MultiPath Switches through a LAN connection. Inside the Tenor MultiPath Switch, a call can be converted from SS7/E1 to SIP or H.323. It can also act as a protocol converter for SS7 to ISDN or R2 signaling.
Carrier Grade Platform
Unified's SS7 Signaling Gateway is an NEBS-3 and ETSI-certified Carrier Grade/Industrial Rack Gateway, which can withstand extreme heat, humidity, altitude, zone 4 earthquake shock, and is flame-resistant. This gateway is a perfect fit for the demanding environment and limited space of central offices, highly available data centers, and rugged environments. It is ideal for the convergence of Voice and IP for next generation telecom solutions. The Signaling Gateway comes with dual hot-swappable AC power supplies; DC power is available upon request.
Dual Fault-Tolerant Configuration
Two SS7 Signaling Gateways can be configured to share the same SS7 point code, providing fully resilient operation within a single point code. In normal operation, signaling can be loadshared across the two units. If one unit fails, the remaining unit will take over to handle all the signaling.
