TWO NEW FEATURES ALLOW SERVICE PROVIDERS TO RAPIDLY DEPLOY NEW SERVICES TO CUSTOMERS, AND REDUCE INSTALLATION COSTS:

Now service providers can easily provision, configure, and manage their network of Tenors remotely. This will facilitate rapid deployment of new customer services and greatly reduce initial installation costs.

Auto-Discovery:
The Auto-discovery interface on Tenors allows service providers to identify all Tenors being deployed on customer premises, by their IP Address, serial number, software version, and description. This information is transmitted to the Configuration Manager GUI to allow configuration of individual Tenors from a single console.

Auto-Provisioning
Tenors will also now include a well defined software interface that enables Auto-provisioning in conjunction with the service provider's existing back- office systems. When a Tenor is deployed, it will signal the service provider's network as soon as it is installed at the customer site. The Tenor will interface with the service provider's existing back-office OAM&P (Operation, Administration, Management and Provisioning) system to request the download of the relevant configuration file for that specific Tenor.

The central system will then download the specific configuration file to bring up that particular remote Tenor and connect it to the VoIP service. All provisioning interactions are carried out using standard secure signaling protocols with individual unit authentication to insure maximum system integrity. In addition to providing this rapid auto-provisioning ervice, this mechanism can also be used for automatic software upgrades and other system maintenance tasks.

This new feature allows service providers to easily provision, configure, and manage their network of Tenors remotely. This will facilitate rapid deployment of new customer services and greatly reduce initial installation costs. And, with Quintum's external Remote Management Session Server, even Tenors deployed behind enterprise NAT firewalls can be easily evaluated, upgraded and configured.
