These instructions explain how to customize Quintum’s IVR prompts. You
can customize your Welcome message, or any other IVR-related prompts.
Language-specific IVR Prompt WAV Files
Recording Procedure
- Download the language folder that you would like to edit from one of the
language options listed above.
- Use the Application Vox Studio
to create your file.
- Select 8000Hz as your sample frequency.

- Record your new prompt.
- Save your new file, giving it the exact same name as the file you
are replacing. For example, the file ‘welcome.wav’ must be overwritten
with your new prompt for it to function as the welcome message in playback.
Use these settings in saving the file:
- Filename – (name of original IVR prompt)
- Save as type – Wave files (*.wav)
- Sound Family – ITU-CCITT
- Sound Type – G7.11 Mu-Law
Note
You must use ITU-CCITT G.711 Mu-Law, so there will not be a RIFF header.
If Microsoft Windows G.711 is used, then there will a RIFF header, and
there will be a noise burst when the .wav file is played.
