astype

Description:   Auto-Switch Type. Used to define the type of auto-switch. There are 2 types of calls defined for this command, DID and non-DID. With DID, the Tenor will expect to see digits on all incoming calls from the PSTN and/or PBX and will be able to identify the Auto-Switch number based on the DID that is received. This also allows the Tenor to perform an Auto-Switch even if the IP network completely fails. The Tenor will always connect a call that matches the configured Auto-Switch number to the Auto-Switch process. This call will never get passed to the PBX. With non-DID, the Tenor does not receive digits on incoming calls from the PSTN and/or PBX and will not be able to identify the Auto-Switch number. The Tenor will not connect any calls to the Auto-Switch process until it is signaled by the origination Tenor (over IP) that it plans to perform and dial an Auto-Switch call. When a degradation of the IP network is detected by the origination Tenor, it signals, over IP, to the destination Tenor that it is going to perform an Auto-Switch. The destination Tenor will wait 20 seconds and then any call that comes in to it from the PSTN trunk group will be connected to the Auto-Switch process. If a valid Auto-Switch call is not detected within 1 second, the destination Tenor will regenerate the call to the PBX for completion. With this setting the Tenor will not be able to perform an Auto-Switch in the event of a complete IP failure since the origination Tenor is not able to signal the destination Tenor of its intent to perform an Auto-Switch.
