Description: If all PBX Ports are busy, the Tenor will provide a fast busy tone to calls coming in on the PSTN ports, instead of endless ringing. The fast busy tone is provided only if all the following conditions are true: · The trunk group is a passthrough PSTN Trunk Group (passthru set to "1") · The Signaling Protocol is User Side Loop or Ground Start · The busyout parameter is set to "yes" (1). · All channels on the corresponding PBX trunk group are in use
Cmd Type: command.
Prompt Level: config pstntg 1#
Syntax: busyout or busy {0 | 1}
Arguments:
0 Feature Off
1 Feature On
Default: None
Availability: Software release P2-3-x and higher of Digital and Analog Tenors.
Examples:
config pstntg 1# busyout 1
Enables the busyout parameter.
Note:
The fast busy tone is provided for 10 seconds. After this time, the call is disconnected by Tenor. For PSTN lines without Disconnect Supervision, if the far end user disconnects before the 10-second timeout, the Tenor will not detect this condition and the line will still be off-hook for 10 seconds. If the far end user does not disconnect in 10 seconds, the Tenor will drop the call and the behavior (as perceived by the caller) will be different for different switches.
