cassignaling

Description: Used when ccsorcas is set to cas, to define the type of CAS signaling that will be used. When the connection to the (Digital) Tenor is T1 and the signaling type is set to CAS, most of the time the signaling will be E & M signaling. It is important to find out the exact configuration of the lines beforehand. For the purposes of this section, the prompt will be shown as config pstntg 1# or config pbxtg 1#.

Cmd Type: command.

Prompt Level: config pstntg 1# and config pbxtg 1#

Syntax: cassignaling or cassig {0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7}

Arguments:

0 E & M signaling. Most popular for T1 CAS lines. Digital Tenor Only. As of Software Release P4-2-14, this is also an available option for E1.

1 Loop Start. Default for Analog Tenor. Typically used when connecting to Channel Banks.

2 Not currently implemented.

3 FG-D. Feature Group D. Digital Tenor Only.

4 R2. Digital Tenor Only

5 Loop Start Reverse Battery - Same as Selection #1, but adds Answer Supervision. (Software Release P2-4-x or after) If the serial number of the Analog Tenor is greater than or equal to A002-001xxxx, then it will support Reverse Battery (Loop Start) for Answer Supervision when the PSTN provides this to the Tenor. This means that the Tenor will be able to detect Reverse Battery from the PSTN when the PSTN provides it. The Tenor will not originate the Reverse Battery.

6 Loop Start Forward Disconnect - Same as Selection #1, but adds Disconnect Supervision. (Added Software Release P2-3-x)

7 R1 Modified. Digital Tenor Only (Added Software Release P4-1-9)

Default: 0 - E & M. (Digital Tenor) 1 - Loop Start (Analog Tenor)

Availability: Only if ccsorcas is set to cas (1) on Digital Tenors, always available on Analog Tenors. On all releases Tenors.

Examples:

config pstntg 1# cassignaling 1

Sets the CAS signaling to Loop Start for the first PSTN trunk group.

config pbxtg 1# cassignaling 0

Sets the CAS signaling to E & M for the first PBX trunk group.
