Description: Disable Channels. Used to disable channels for this trunk group. Even though you may be configuring the PSTN trunk group, depending on the application, you may have put channels from the PBX interface in to the PSTN trunk group and vice versa. Check with Quintum for more information. For the purposes of this section, the prompt will be shown as config pstntg 1# or config pbxtg 1#.
Cmd Type: command.
Prompt Level: config pstntg 1# and config pbxtg 1#
Syntax: disablechan or dis {unit#} [line# (1|2)] {chan# (1-31 | a)}
Arguments:
unit# Required. Number identifying which unit number has the channels to be disabled. This is used for the Multi-unit feature (not yet available). Should be set to 1 for now.
line (1| 2) Optional. Used to identify the line/interface whose channels you wish to disable from this trunk group. If this parameter is omitted, the interface typically identified with the trunk group will be chosen by default. If you are in the PSTN trunk group, then the PSTN interface will be selected by default. If you are in the PBX trunk group, then the PBX interface will be selected by default.
chan# The number of the channel (1-31) that is to be disabled.
Settings:
line
1 PBX interface/line.
2 PSTN interface/line.
chan#
1-31 Specific channel 1 through 31.
a All channels.
Default: Channels 1 through 24 of the interface typically identified by the trunk group on digital Tenors are enabled. Channels 1 through 4 of the interface typically identified by the trunk group on the analog Tenors are enabled.
Availability: All Tenor units.
Guidelines: If you create a 2nd trunk group, you will need to delete channels from the 1st trunk group to make them available for the new trunk group. If you delete a trunk group that has channels assigned to it, these channels will not be available to other trunk groups. You will need to enable the deleted trunk group by entering a name, then disable the channels and then delete the trunk group.
