Description: This command determines the number of digits that a Personal Identification Number (PIN) of a Post-Paid Account is.
Cmd Type: command.
Prompt Level: config pstntg# or config pbxtg#
Syntax: ivrpinlength or ivrpin {n | null}
Arguments:
n A numeric entry that indicates the amount of digits in an account number. Valid numeric entries = 0* through 20. * = 0 is only a valid entry for ivrtype 3. In this case, after receiving an Account Number, Tenor does not ask for a PIN, it goes forward to an "Authentication State" without requiring a PIN number.
null If you do not enter a value after issuing this command, it sets the ivrcardlength to "variable". This instructs the Tenor to play an "enter a pound sign when you are completed dialing" at the IVR prompt.
Default: Variable (null - no argument)
Availability: Analog & Digital Tenors, Software Release P4-1-9 and after, when ivrtype = 3 or 6. Originally introduced in Limited format in software release 3 (P3-1-6). Slightly upgraded in Software Release P4-2-14.
Guidelines: If this field is set to "0", the user must press # when done entering the PIN. If the number of digits dialed is less than the number set in this field, the user must press # when done entering the PIN, and the entry will be submitted. Added functionality as of Software Release P4-2-14, if this value is not set to "variable", but to a specific value, then the # key may be used to "erase" an incorrectly dialed digit. Erasing a digit by using "#" counts as 1 "try" to the retrycounter.
Examples:
config pstntg 1# ivrpinlength 7
Sets the number of PIN digits to 7.
