Description: LAM Pattern. Used to set number patterns that, when a number matches a pattern, that number would be allowed to go out to the PSTN from the IP network. Numbers are matched, from the IP network, for this parameter based on the International number format (country code + city/area code + number).
Cmd Type: command.
Prompt Level: config pstntg n#
Syntax: lampattern or lampat {indx} {pattern}
Arguments:
indx Required. Numeric value that is the index number where the lampattern is to be stored. Each lampattern takes up one index number (generally starting at 1). You must specify the next available index number to add a new lampattern.
pattern Optional. String that is to be used as a pattern for matching. Leaving this argument as null will delete the pattern and associated information in the specified index number.
Settings: pattern 0-9 Digits used as literal matches.
Default: None
Availability: All Tenor units.
Guidelines: This feature is used to route calls from the IP network out to the PSTN as hop-off calls. As mentioned above, numbers are matched to this parameter based on the International format (country code + city/area code + number). The * wildcard is implied and it is not necessary to configure this character. When a call/number dialed matches a LAM pattern that was set, before the destination Tenor (where the LAM pattern match is made) sends the call out to the PSTN, it will delete the pattern off.
Examples: For the example and the sample display, this Tenor will allow hop-offs or LAMs out of its PSTN connection. This Tenor is in New Jersey, USA (country code of 1 area code of 732) and will allow hop-offs to the local area, NY and to UK.
config pstntg 1# lampattern 1 1732
Sets a pattern of 1732 in the first index location. Any calls that begin with 1732 will be routed to this Tenor/trunk group, the 1732 is deleted off and the remaining digits sent to the PSTN.
config pstntg 1# lampattern 2 1212
Sets a pattern of 1212 in the second index location. Any calls that begin with 1212 will be routed to this Tenor/trunk group, the 1212 is deleted off and the remaining digits sent to the PSTN.
config pstntg 1# lampattern 3 4
Sets a pattern of 4 in the third index location. Any calls that begin with 4 will be routed to this Tenor/trunk group, the 4 is deleted off and the remaining digits sent to the PSTN. This will match calls to any country that begins with 4.
config pstntg 1# lampattern 4
Deletes any LAM information that may have been set for index 4.
