maxlamcalls

Description:   Maximum LAM Calls. This allows you to restrict the number of LAM or hop-off calls that will be allowed out of this trunk group. In an enterprise installation, you may not want to allow all the channels to be used for LAM calls (which may stop calls from the PBX passing through to the PSTN).

Cmd Type:   command.

Prompt Level:   config pstntg n#

Syntax:   maxlamcalls or maxlam {num}

Arguments:   num   Required. Numeric number representing the maximum LAM calls that will be allowed out of this trunk group.

Default:   24

Availability:   All Tenor units.

Guidelines:   If you allow the same number of LAM calls that are the total number of channels available in this trunk group, it may be possible, depending on the call volume, that all the PSTN channels be used with LAM calls and calls that come in from the PBX would not have a path to the PSTN when needed. When the number of LAM calls reach the maximum number configured, any other calls that might match a LAM pattern here would be sent out of the call origination Tenors PSTN line, if available.

Examples:

config pstntg 1# maxlamcalls 10

Sets the maximum number of LAM calls on the first PSTN trunk group to 10.
