modembypass

Description:   Used to enable or disable the modem bypass feature of the Tenor. Standard analog modem to analog modem communications over IP is extremely unreliable; therefore, the Tenor has a feature to help this process. When this feature is enabled (value of 1), if a modem call is made and goes over IP, when the modems connect and attempt to synchronize, the Tenor detects the synchronization tones and disconnects the modem call. The Tenor also stores the number that was originally dialed in to an internal bypass table. The next time that the modem call is attempted, the Tenor sees the call attempt, matches the number dialed to the entry in the bypass table and routes the call directly to the PSTN and not over the IP. For the purposes of this section, the prompt will be shown as config pstntg 1# or config pbxtg 1#.
