This command controls the settings for the PSTN Trunk Group.
Description: PSTN Trunk Group prompt command. Accesses the PSTN trunk group parameters. It should be noted that even though the trunk is related to the PSTN, it is not necessary that this trunk contain a line and/or channels that are connected to a PSTN. Depending on the application, this trunk group may actually be associated with the PBX interface instead of the PSTN. The main difference between this prompt and commands and those of the PBX trunk group are that you configure the hop-off or LAM patterns here (numbers that come in from the IP and "hop-off" to the PSTN saving long distance and international toll charges). Further, calls that come in to this trunk group are typically routed directly to the PBX trunk group unconditionally. There are some cases when this provision can be overridden.
Cmd Type: Prompt.
Prompt Level: config#
Syntax: pstntg or pstn {n}
Arguments: n Enter the index number (1-16) of the PSTN trunk group that you wish to access. Trunk group 1 is created for you to start. See Guidelines (below) for more information.
Default: None
Availability: All Current Releases of Tenor Software
Guidelines: Trunk group 1 is always created, by default, for you with 24 channels from the PSTN line/interface added. If you wish to add another trunk group, you will need to; 1. Disable the required channels from the first trunk group. 2. Exit the first trunk group and enter the second trunk group (pstntg 2#). 3. Enter a name for the second trunk group using the name command. Trunk groups are not accessible till a name is configured.

config# pstn 1
