trunkid

Description:   Trunk ID. Used to set a trunk id or account code that will be sent with any call that is received on this trunk group. This command/feature is very useful for identifying calls to billing systems on a large service provider network. This command is set on the Call Origination Trunk Group and can be sent to the billing systems to identify the call originator and provide accurate billing. For the purposes of this section, the prompt will be shown as config pstntg 1# or config pbxtg 1#.   

Cmd Type:   command.   

Prompt Level:   config pstntg 1# and config pbxtg 1#   

Syntax:   trunkid {num | letters a,b,c,d,e,f}    

Arguments:   num*    Required. Alphanumeric string that will be sent as the trunk id/account code. *Includes only letters A through F.   

Default:   Null   

Availability:   All Tenor units.   

Guidelines:   This parameter is set on the origination Tenor, where the call will originate. The trunkiddelivery & trunkidformat are used at the termination Tenor to set how the Trunk ID will be delivered to the Termination Trunk Group.   

Examples:   

config pstntg 1# trunkid 5551111

Tags all calls coming in the first PSTN trunk group with an id of 5551111

config pbxtg 1# trunkid 6431234

Tags all calls coming in the first PBX trunk group with an id of 6431234
