CallerIDGeneration

Description

This line-side Caller ID parameter configures how caller ID is generated.

Basic Configuration

If you choose to enter a Phone Port or Line Port Configuration, you are prompted to select the method for Caller ID Generation.

Guidelines

You must enable CallerIDDetection in order for RelayCallingName to work.

Valid options are as follows:

  • 0 - Disabled (default)

  • 1 - FSK.  Generates the U.S. Standard FSK definition (Bellcore). Caller ID is sent between first and second ring.

  • 2 - DTMF. Generates Dual Tone Multi-Frequency Caller ID.

  • 3 - DTMF, Reverse Battery. While phone is on hook, battery reverses; then Tenor sends Caller ID as DTMF; then send first ring.

  • 4 - ETSI, Reverse Battery. While phone is on hook, battery reverses; then Tenor sends Caller ID as ETSI FSK; then send first ring.

  • 5 - NTT/Japan CID. First there is a battery reversal; then Tenor sends a different cadence ring (one-half second on and one-half second off); then receiving side should go off hook; then Tenor sends the Caller ID in the Japanese FSK definition; phone goes on hook; then Tenor sends first ring.

  • 6 - ETSI. Caller ID is generated according to European FSK definition.

  • 7 - DTMF, No Ring. Supports China/Taiwan Caller ID, delivered before the first ring (or reverse battery).
