EtsiDiscNoInBand

Description

In certain network configurations, when the DISCONNECT message is received from the PSTN with the ProgressIE and inband tones available, the user is not able to hear the signaling (such as a busy signal).

Guidelines

This setting is an advanced parameter, and should be used with care and under controlled circumstances. The following are the valid settings:

  • 0 - Disabled (default). The incoming DISCONNECT is split and signaled over IP as a PROGRESS w/ProgIndIE ("inband tones available") in one message, followed by a DISCONNECT in another Q.931 message.

  • 1 - Enabled. The DISCONNECT received is left intact (ProgInd IE is left in the Q.931 Disconnect when sent over IP).
