LocalLoopType

Description

This command is for Analog Tenors set to Loop Start only. It allows you to configure the Tenor's FXO port to avoid an impedance mismatch with the phone line resulting in ERL (Echo Return Loss). You can determine the best local loop type based on the following test of the phone line. Type this command at the CLI:

config-CASSignalingGroup-line# cmd test t <line#> <impedance>

where line # is the number of the analog PSTN line of the Tenor, and impedance is the setting of the Impedance parameter for that line (see link below).

The output of this command will give you a recommendation for the LLT parameter.

Guidelines

This setting is for CASSG-line; it is only exposed when ORientation=0 (line-side only).

Valid settings are as follows:

  • 0   EIA Type 0 (default)

  • 1   EIA Type 1

  • 2   EIA Type 2

  • 3   EIA Type 3

  • 4   EIA Type 4

  • 5   EIA Type 5

  • 6   EIA Type 6

  • 7   EIA Type 7
