Telco Circuit Configuration

This section focuses on the configuration items related to T1/E1 spans, and the number directories related to them.

• Circuit/Channel Configuration covers physical layer and signaling configuration, as well as organizing channels into channel groups.  

• Trunk Routing Configuration covers the configuration of Trunking operations, IVRs, etc.

• Line Routing Configuration is similar to the above, but primarily for Enterprise applications connected to Corporate PBXs.  

Notes

• One very critical item related to T1/E1 configuration is how to obtain system timing. This is located under MasterChassis-1 mc 1) Prompt Commands.

• An invaluable command for checking T1/E1 spans is status ds1.
