The Command Reference Guide focuses on configuration at the software level. If you are looking for hardware information, please refer to your Users Guide.

Many of the commands that configure Quintum products are shared in common among several models. Because of this common architecture, many topics in this guide address more than one product, while some topics describe custom features. The term Tenor is used in many topics as a generic term to address multiple products. Tenor (AX/AS/AF/DX/BX/CMS) or Call Relay is used when the parameter applies to that specific device.

Organization of this Guide

This Guide is divided into the following functional sections.

• Getting Started with the CLI - Determining code versions, understanding document conventions, connecting to the CLI by Telnet or serial port, logging in to the CLI, basic command usage.

• Systemwide Configuration - Describes general system parameters that apply to all aspects of system operation, including RADIUS, Syslog, and other external server configuration.

• Ethernet/VoIP Configuration - Covers configuration parameters specific to the Ethernet interfaces, TCP/IP, and inbound/outbound VoIP calls.

• Telco Circuit Configuration - Covers configuration parameters specific to T1/E1 circuits and parameters related to routing calls inbound and outbound on these circuits.

• Troubleshooting/Maintenance - Discusses some of the tools available to troubleshoot problems. Includes logging, Cause codes, etc.
