Description

The Timesync command manually forces this 2G Tenor and the named Time Server to synchronize instead of allowing the automatic synchronization mechanism to perform its incremental function. Please note that this set of commands may be issued from either the Maintenance or Config mode.

Syntax

timesync -{a | i} {ipaddr offset}     

Arguments

a   Used to synchronize the 2G Tenor clock and the named Time Server's clock.  

i   Used to display the current time (post-UTCOffset adjusted).

ipaddr   Optional. IP address of the Time Server. Used to sync the 2G Tenor manually without regard to the TimeServer(s) configured.  

offset   Optional. Used to configure a manual time offset without regard to the UTCOffset configured.  

Examples

maintain# timesync -a

Grabs the time of the Primary Time Server and adjusts it to the local time, using the setting of UTCOffset.

maintain# timesync -a 192.168.55.88 -8:00

This 2G Tenor will be synchronized with the Time Server at that IP Address with a Time Offset of -8 hours.

maintain# timesync -i

Displays the time of the Primary Time Server, and the local time, using the setting of UTCOffset.

maintain# timesync -i 192.168.55.88 -8:00

Displays, but does not adjust the 2G Tenor current time with the Time Server at that IP Address with a Time Offset of -8 hours.
