Tenor Survivable SIP Gateway

Quintum’s Tenor S Survivable SIP Gateway (SSG) is a Digital or Analog Tenor product. It functions as a signaling intermediary between the local IP endpoints and the central SIP proxy, and facilitates fallback to the PSTN when needed. SSG technology (internal to the Tenor) provides site survivability for branch offices in a single, integrated access solution. The SSG acts as an outbound proxy--all IP endpoints register to the SIP proxy via SSG and all SIP signaling passes through it. It is an intelligent local agent that gathers and maintains routing information for all endpoints passing registrations and call signaling through it to the central SIP proxy.

Note on Content

Many of the commands that configure Quintum products are shared in common among several models. Because of this common architecture, many topics in this guide address more than one product, while some topics describe custom features. The term Tenor is used in many topics as a generic term to address multiple products. Tenor (AX/AS/AF/DX/BX/CMS) or Call Relay is used when the parameter applies to that specific device.
