Description

TxGain (Transmit Gain) is used to raise or lower the natural gain (volume) of signals that go out to the IP interface (PCM -> Packet Network).

There is a command with the same name in the CASSG. See the link below.

Guidelines

This parameter does not apply for the Call Relay SP.

The range is -14 dB to 14 dB. The default value is 0 dB for Analog and Digital Tenors.

Quintum has done extensive testing with this feature and the default setting seems to be the optimum for a Multipath application. For a strictly Termination application, a setting of 0 dB should be used.

Syntax

set txgain or tg {num}     

Arguments

num   Numerical Value representing the number of decibels of gain that are added or subtracted from the natural gain of IP calls. Valid values are between -14 dB and +14 dB for Analog Tenors.

Default

0 = Digital and Analog Tenors

Examples

config-IPRoutingGroup-1# set tg 2

Sets the transmit gain to +2 dB.

Sets the transmit gain to -3 dB.
